Here are 5 recommendations for some really informative, easy-to-read and honestly mouth-watering books that would create an excellent basis of knowledge and expectations when preparing for the fourth trimester. They cover everything from the physical and emotional space, to a whole lot of delicious recipes that are perfect for postpartum nourishment.
Afterwards

The First Forty Days: The Essential Art of Nourishing the New Mother
This book by Heng Ou is basically a bible on the beautiful art of caring for new mothers traditionally. She shares her experience of zuo yuezi aka the Chinese tradition which translates to “sitting the month” – which is steeped in thousands of years of wisdom about allowing the mother to heal and bond with her baby. Grab it here.

Created by 2 Aussie mamas the founders of Mothers Mylk, for Aussie mamas – this is such a great guidebook that will easily help to introduce those essential nutrients in your pregnancy and preparation for postpartum. Food to Fuel Postpartum (ebook)
This e-book was created by Naomi Chrisoulakis, the postpartum doula/cook/mentor from Cocoon by Naomi and the podcast host of The Tales from the Fourth Trimester (one of my favs). I have a really similar cooking style which I love and her ebook really is a great guide for postpartum nourishment, you can purchase and download it here.
