Here at Nourishin, we are looking to bridge the gap when it comes to the expectation / reality of practical support needed for families.
Navigating the world when a newborn baby arrives, facing loss and managing an injury or illness – alongside cooking, grocery shopping, parenting, cleaning, coordinating visitors/help and keeping people in the loop can be an insurmountable list, even if everything else “goes to plan”. We know that loved ones are often left wondering how they can help – but often don’t actually get involved.
Nourishin has been designed by a first time mum and designer Olivia Harding – with the goal of making an impact across Australia, New Zealand and eventually – the rest of the world. We hope to make supporting and caring for loved ones in your life a seamless and meaningful experience, even in an increasingly disconnected world.

Olivia has always had a creative and curious mind – but her great passions are for family, food and her community. Having grown up in suburban Sydney and later experienced life in London, she, along with her husband Jarryd, understands the significance of forging strong connections and establishing a reliable support network.
After a rollercoaster pregnancy, Olivia and Jarryd welcomed their daughter Hazel into the world via a home birth delivery in March 2022. As first-time parents, they experienced the challenges and demands of nurturing a newborn, coupled with the struggle of voicing their needs to those around them. Fortunately, Olivia spent lots of time preparing for postpartum – making sure they had a freezer full of meals and built a village of support through her health practitioners and her weekly mother’s circle. This village influenced her motherhood journey in the best way possible, especially when things were tough.
Up late one night tending to Hazel, it dawned on Olivia that the village idea was not something that everyone had, despite living in this increasingly “connected” world. Navigating turbulent times like postpartum (or illness / injury) alone makes it so much more difficult – especially when all you really want is a night off from cooking or to talk to a professional when things get hard. This was the seed of the idea that grew into Nourishin. Olivia realised she could create something impactful to help empower families to ease the burden – even if it was just home cooked meal. She simply could not get this idea out of her head.
With unwavering support from her husband Jarryd to juggle their life with Hazel and their two dachshunds Barney and Putney, Olivia has been working hard on building the Nourishin brand, designing the MVP of the app, developing and photographing recipes and much more behind the scenes. With a clear vision and a heartfelt dedication, Olivia was excited to launch the first version of the Nourishin app in late September 2023, to help families navigate life’s biggest joys and challenges with confidence and support.
