Nourishin Website, Mobile App and Village Directory

Last updated: October 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Nourishin website, mobile application or Village Directory, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

Nourishin Pty Ltd (“Nourishin”, “we”, “us”, “our”) may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. For material changes we will let you know in the app or by email.

You must be 18 or older to create a Nourishin account.

2. Purpose of the Platform

Nourishin is a digital platform that supports families through pregnancy, postpartum, illness, loss and beyond, and helps them organise food support and lighten the mental load of feeding a household. It includes tools to coordinate meal drops and share updates with your village, manage a shared kitchen (freezer and fridge tracking, meal planning and shopping lists), run meal swaps with other households, plan batch cooks, access recipes and resources, and connect with local support providers through the Nourishin Village Directory.

Nourishin is not a healthcare provider, does not provide medical or health services, and does not refer or recommend any listed provider. Nothing on this platform constitutes medical, health, nutritional, psychological or professional advice. Always seek independent professional advice suited to your circumstances.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for everything done under your account. Tell us at support@nourishin.com.au if you think your account has been accessed without your permission.

You may hold one account. You may delete your account at any time from the Account screen in the app. Deleting your account does not cancel a Plus or Pro subscription. Cancel it in the App Store or Google Play first, or you will keep being charged. You can restore your account within 30 days by signing in. What happens to your meal drops, household and information is set out in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms, is used by someone under 18, or is used in a way that harms other users or the platform.

4. Village Directory – Provider Listings and Subscriptions

4.1 Application and Approval

Submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) does not guarantee inclusion in the directory. Listings are approved at the sole discretion of Nourishin based on the completeness and relevance of the information provided and alignment with our community values.

Nourishin may collect qualifications, insurance, registration status or business practices of a provider but does not verify the service. Any engagement between a user and a listed provider is undertaken independently and at the user’s own discretion.

4.2 Provider Representations and Warranties

By submitting a Village listing and at all times while your listing is active, you represent and warrant that:

  1. all information in your listing is true, accurate, complete and not misleading;
  2. you hold all qualifications, licences, registrations and insurances required by law to provide the services described;
  3. your listing content complies with all applicable Australian and New Zealand laws and regulations, including advertising obligations relevant to your profession;
  4. you will promptly update your listing if any information changes, including changes to registration status, services offered, qualifications or contact details; and
  5. you have the right to grant Nourishin the licence described in clause 9 in respect of all content you submit.

4.3 Listing Content Standards

All listing content must be factual, accurate and not misleading. Providers must not include:

  • Testimonials, reviews or endorsements from clients, patients or any third party
  • Statements about outcomes experienced by specific individuals
  • Claims implying guaranteed results or specific therapeutic outcomes
  • Any content that could constitute a prohibited representation under the Australian Consumer Law

This no-testimonials rule applies to all providers regardless of membership plan or professional category.

4.4 Advertising Obligations for Regulated Health Practitioners

If you are a health practitioner registered under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law Act 2009 (National Law), including any practitioner registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), the following applies.

You are solely and entirely responsible for ensuring that your listing, including all text, images and any other content, complies with:

  • Section 133 of the National Law, which prohibits advertising of regulated health services that is false, misleading or deceptive; creates unreasonable expectations of beneficial treatment; directly or indirectly encourages unnecessary or inappropriate use of health services; or uses testimonials
  • The current AHPRA Guidelines for Advertising a Regulated Health Service (available at ahpra.gov.au)
  • Any advertising standards or guidelines issued by your specific registration board

You acknowledge that:

  1. It is your responsibility, not Nourishin’s, to review your listing content against AHPRA’s current advertising guidelines before your listing goes live and each time content is updated;
  2. Nourishin does not provide legal, regulatory or compliance advice and cannot assess whether your listing meets your professional obligations;
  3. Nourishin’s no-testimonials policy aligns with but is independent of AHPRA’s prohibition on testimonials, and both apply to your listing; and
  4. A breach of the National Law advertising provisions is a matter between you, AHPRA and your registration board, and Nourishin bears no responsibility for your compliance or non-compliance.

4.5 Provider Indemnity

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Nourishin Pty Ltd and its officers, employees and agents from and against any claims, losses, damages, penalties, fines or expenses (including reasonable legal costs) arising out of or in connection with:

  1. Any inaccuracy or misrepresentation in your listing content;
  2. Any breach by you of applicable advertising laws or regulations, including the National Law;
  3. Any breach of these Terms; or
  4. Any claim by a third party arising from your provision of services.

4.6 Listings Are Not Endorsements

Inclusion in the Nourishin Village Directory does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, referral or approval by Nourishin of any provider, their services, qualifications or conduct. Families are encouraged to conduct their own research and exercise their own judgement when engaging any listed provider.

4.7 Nourishin’s Right to Review, Suspend and Remove

Nourishin reserves the right at any time, in its sole discretion, to:

  • Decline any application to list in the Village Directory
  • Request amendments to listing content before approval or while a listing is active
  • Suspend or remove any listing immediately and without prior notice where Nourishin reasonably believes the content is inaccurate, misleading, in breach of these Terms, or inconsistent with Nourishin’s mission or values
  • Terminate a provider’s access to the platform for serious or repeated breaches of these Terms

Where a listing is removed for breach, Nourishin is not obligated to refund any subscription fees paid.

4.8 Village Subscription Terms

Directory listing access is provided on a subscription basis (monthly or annually), purchased through our website. Payment is processed by secure third-party platforms (WooCommerce and Stripe). Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.

A Village listing is a separate product from a Nourishin Plus or Pro app subscription. Holding one does not include the other.

4.9 Village Cancellations and Refunds

Providers may cancel their subscription at any time through their account dashboard, or by contacting support@nourishin.com.au at least 7 days prior to renewal for assistance.

Monthly subscriptions: cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Access to paid features remains active until that date. If you joined on a Founding Member offer, cancellation forfeits it permanently. Re-subscription will be at the then-current standard pricing.

Annual subscriptions: cancellation takes effect at the end of the 12-month billing period. No automatic pro-rata refunds are provided for unused time. Refund requests for exceptional circumstances may be submitted to support@nourishin.com.au and will be considered at Nourishin’s discretion.

Where a listing is suspended or removed by Nourishin for breach of these Terms, no refund will be provided.

4.10 Founding Members

The Founding Member offer is now closed to new members. It gave 3 months free on a first annual term, or 1 month free on a monthly plan. When that first term ends, the subscription renews automatically at the standard rate shown on our website, unless cancelled before the renewal date. Cancelling during the founding term forfeits the offer permanently. No pro-rata refunds are issued for unused time on either plan type.

5. Families Using the Directory

Users browsing the Nourishin Village Directory acknowledge that:

  1. Directory listings are provided for information only and do not constitute a referral, recommendation or endorsement by Nourishin;
  2. Nourishin does not verify the qualifications, registration, insurance or conduct of listed providers;
  3. Any arrangement or transaction with a listed provider is solely between the user and that provider; and
  4. Nourishin accepts no liability arising from a user’s engagement with any listed provider.

6. App Subscriptions – Nourishin Plus and Nourishin Pro

6.1 What is free

Creating an account, booking a meal on someone else’s meal drop, and organising your household’s first meal drop are free. Nourishin Plus and Nourishin Pro are optional paid subscriptions that unlock additional features, as described in the app at the time of purchase.

6.2 How subscriptions are purchased

Plus and Pro are purchased inside the app through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and are billed by Apple or Google to the payment method on your store account. Nourishin does not receive or store your card details. Prices are shown in the app in your local currency before you confirm. Prices may change; any change applies from your next renewal, and the store will notify you in advance where required.

6.3 The 14-day preview

If no one in your household has had Plus or Pro before (including from a gift or a Season), your household can start one free 14-day preview of Plus or Pro. No card is needed and nothing renews. A household gets one preview, ever, and it stays used for everyone who was in the household when it started. When it ends you return to the free tier unless you choose to subscribe.

6.4 Automatic renewal and cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You manage and cancel your subscription through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings, not through Nourishin. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you keep access until then.

6.5 Refunds

Because billing is handled by Apple and Google, refund requests are made to them under their refund policies. Nourishin cannot issue refunds for purchases made through the stores. If Apple or Google refunds a subscription, paid access ends when they say it does. Where the Australian Consumer Law gives you rights that cannot be excluded, those rights are not affected.

6.6 When a subscription ends

Nothing you have added is removed when a Plus or Pro subscription ends, lapses or is cancelled. Your kitchen, meal drops, swaps and household stay exactly where they are. From that point the free tier’s limits apply to anything new you add, such as how many meal drops and meal swaps can be live at once, how far ahead you can plan, and inviting co-organisers or household members. Anything already running keeps running, and you can always manage bookings, archive and cancel.

6.7 Households

A Plus or Pro subscription covers your household. Everyone you have invited into your household shares the same kitchen and the same tier. A household needs only one subscription. If the subscribing member leaves the household, the remaining members return to the free tier. Gifts and Seasons belong to the person who redeemed or claimed them, and leave the household with them.

6.8 Nourishin Pro

Pro is designed for doulas, midwives, postpartum carers and other support workers who organise meal drops on behalf of the families they support. If you use Pro to set up a meal drop for a family, you must have that family’s permission and enter their details accurately. The family is invited to take the meal drop over and becomes its owner when they accept; you stay on as a co-organiser until you step back. A family that accepts a meal drop you set up receives a Season of three months of Nourishin Plus. Pro does not include a Village Directory listing.

7. Gifts of Nourishin Plus

7.1 Buying a gift

You may purchase a gift of three months of Nourishin Plus through our website. Payment is processed by WooCommerce and Stripe. The gift is delivered as a code, either emailed directly to the recipient you name, or emailed to you to pass on.

7.2 Redeeming a gift

Gift codes are redeemed inside the Nourishin app. The three months begin on the day the code is redeemed, not the day it was bought. Gift codes don’t expire. If your household already has Plus or Pro from a gift, a Season or a preview, the three months start when that ends, and several gifts stack. If you’re on a paid plan that renews, keep the code: once you turn off renewal in your App Store or Google Play settings you can use it, and the three months start when your paid plan ends.

7.3 Gift conditions

A gift does not renew and no card is required from the recipient. Gift codes have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be used towards a Village Directory listing. Gift codes work for whoever holds them. If a gift order is refunded, any unused codes from it stop working. If a code has already been used, please contact support@nourishin.com.au and we’ll work it out with you. A gift covers the household of the person who redeems it, for as long as they’re in it. Where you buy several gifts in one order, all the codes are emailed to you to pass on.

8. Meal Drops, Swaps, Households and Shared Content

8.1 Sharing responsibly

Meal drops and meal swaps are shared by link, QR code or email invitation. Anyone with a meal drop link who signs in to Nourishin can see the drop, including the drop-off address, and links shared from older versions of the app can be opened without signing in until early 2027. Anyone signed in with a meal swap link can join it. Invitation links work for whoever accepts them, so please send them only to the person you mean. You are responsible for sharing links only with people you trust. Nourishin is not responsible for what a person you have shared a link with does with that information.

8.2 Households

On Plus or Pro you can invite people into your household. They see your shared kitchen and can add to and change it. You are responsible for who you invite. If you set up the household, you can remove members, or hand the household to another member before you leave. Joining someone else’s household moves your kitchen into theirs and can’t be undone.

8.3 Meal swaps

Meal swaps are arrangements between the households taking part. Nourishin provides the tools to organise them and is not a party to them. Attendance, food quality, portions, dietary suitability and anything exchanged between participants are matters for the participants.

8.4 Content you add

You are responsible for the photos, updates, notes, dish descriptions and other content you add. Do not add content that is offensive, misleading, infringes someone else’s rights, or includes another person’s private information without their permission. We may remove content that breaches these Terms.

8.5 Co-organisers and handing over a meal drop

On Plus or Pro you can invite co-organisers to run a meal drop with you, and hand a meal drop to someone else. Co-organisers can see everything on the drop, including participants’ email addresses. Either of you can cancel a handover before it’s accepted. Once accepted, the meal drop belongs to the new organiser and you stay on as a co-organiser. A meal drop that has gone live is archived when it’s finished, not deleted.

8.6 Content added on your behalf

Where a Pro user or another organiser sets up a meal drop for you and then hands it to you, you take responsibility for that drop and its content from the moment you accept it.

9. Intellectual Property

All content created by Nourishin, including platform design, copy, branding, recipes and editorial content, is owned by Nourishin Pty Ltd and protected by Australian intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute or republish any Nourishin content without prior written permission.

You keep ownership of the content you add to Nourishin. By adding content to a listing, a meal drop, a swap, a household or elsewhere on the platform, you grant Nourishin a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to store, display, reproduce and share that content on the platform, with the people you have chosen to share it with, for the purpose of operating the service and for as long as the content remains on the platform.

10. Website and App Content

All platform content is provided for informational purposes only. Nourishin does not guarantee that content is current, complete or error-free, and may modify content at any time without notice. Recipes and food storage guidance are general in nature; you are responsible for checking suitability for your household.

11. User Conduct

You agree to use the Nourishin platform in a lawful and respectful manner. You must not:

  • Post offensive, harmful or misleading content
  • Infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of others
  • Share private address details beyond your intended recipients
  • Use the platform to harass, stalk or locate any person
  • Create accounts, meal drops or swaps for people who have not asked for them
  • Use Nourishin for any commercial purpose other than a Village Directory listing or a Pro subscription used as intended
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or its systems, or interfere with its operation

Nourishin has a zero-tolerance policy for any content or behaviour that endangers children. See our Privacy Policy for our child safety commitments and how to report concerns.

12. Third-Party Services and Links

The platform may contain links to third-party websites or services for convenience only. Nourishin is not responsible for the content, privacy practices or conduct of third-party providers. Your use of the Apple App Store and Google Play is also subject to their terms.

13. Privacy

We are committed to protecting your privacy. By using the Nourishin platform, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy at nourishin.com.au/privacy-policy.

14. App Functionality and Availability

Nourishin may update, suspend or discontinue any platform feature at its discretion. No guarantees are made regarding uninterrupted access or availability. We will give reasonable notice before discontinuing a paid feature, and where a paid feature is discontinued during a billing period you may be entitled to a refund for the unused portion under the Australian Consumer Law.

15. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

The Nourishin platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nourishin excludes all liability for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of the platform, your engagement with any listed provider, any meal drop or swap organised, or batch cook planned, through the platform, or any content accessed through the platform.

Where liability cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, Nourishin’s liability is limited to the cost of re-supplying the relevant service or, where applicable, the subscription or gift fees paid by you in the 3 months preceding the claim.

16. Food Safety and Responsibility

The Nourishin platform facilitates coordination of meal support between families. Nourishin does not inspect, supervise or take responsibility for food prepared, stored, delivered or exchanged by users.

  • Individuals preparing or delivering meals are solely responsible for food safety and hygiene standards
  • Recipients are responsible for communicating dietary requirements and allergies, and for assessing meals before consumption
  • The freezer and fridge trackers record what you tell them; they do not monitor food condition, and you are responsible for judging whether stored food is safe to eat
  • Nourishin is not liable for any loss, illness or injury arising from the preparation, storage, delivery or consumption of food coordinated or tracked through the platform

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes arising under these Terms are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales. If you use Nourishin from outside Australia, you are responsible for complying with your local laws, and nothing in these Terms removes rights you have under them that cannot be excluded.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be read down or severed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

19. Contact

For questions or concerns about these Terms, please contact support@nourishin.com.au.
