Gut loving Chocolate Gummies

These cheeky little gummies are a great for your gut, fun to eat and a handy way to sneak in some extra nutrients.

Equipment

  • Small pot

Ingredients
  

  • 1/3 cup gelatin powder I use Nutraorganics Natural Grass Fed Gelatin powder
  • 2/3 cup water
1 cup of organic coconut milk
  • 2 tablespoons of maple syrup
  • 3 tablespoons of cacao powder
  • 1 teaspoon Spiralina powder optional
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions
 

  • Fill a measuring cup 2/3 with water and add 1/3 of gelatin to bloom, stirring well as it thickens into a gel.
  • Combine all of the other ingredients in a pot on a medium heat and bring up to a gentle heat, but do not boil.
  • Add the bloomed gelatin into the pot and combine until the mixture is nice and smooth.
  • Pour into individual silicone moulds or a glass container to firm up in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
  • Un-mould / cut the set gummies and store in the fridge or freezer in an air tight container.

Notes

These are very freezer friendly, they will just need a bit of time to defrost when you pull them out.
